Who is a Partner?
The Lorain County Urban League works with a wide range of organizations and individuals. Some of those collaborations are limited in scope and duration. Partners, on the other hand are individuals and organizations from both the public and private sectors whose contributions help to enlarge the footprint and impact of our work. Our Partners fall into two broad categories: Know-how Partners and Funding Partners.
Know-how Partner
Know-how partners include educational institutions that provide expertise in the form of research and sound scholarship that help to inform and shape our work. This group also includes Health, Education and Housing Advisory Committees and our recently formed STEM Education Advisory Committee.
Funding Partner
Funding Partners provide in-kind support, donation of equipment and financial support. They include corporate sponsors of key events and programs; foundations and community stakeholder organizations who allow us free use of their facilities.
- Improving educational outcomes for all children;
- Helping individuals and families to have improved quality of life through nutrition education, exercise and overall healthy lifestyles;
- Decent and affordable housing for all; and
- Assisting individuals to find work and support their families.
By becoming a partner, you will have the opportunity to support our programs and become more informed about our services and their impact; participate in special events; and stay informed about issues that are important to the community and the nation.
