Money Management Series
The Lorain County Urban League, in association with Chemical Bank, is empowering greater Lorain County residents with a Money Management Series which will be held each Monday (except Labor Day it will be held on Tuesday) from 5:30 to 7:30 beginning on May 1 at the Lorain County Urban League offices located at 200 Middle Avenue, Suite #200, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
This 6-week course will cover topics such as budgeting, savings, understanding credit, mortgages, retirement, and investing. We encourage you to attend all 6 courses. However, people can also opt into specific topics at any time during this money management series.
Becoming a good money manager can improve your life in so many ways. It will provide you security to deal with unexpected expenses. You can reduce your reliance upon credit cards that can put you further in the black money hole that causes overdraft charges. If you have good money management skills you will pay lower interest rates on credit cards, auto loans, and mortgages. And when you learn to invest that money, while you are working to increase your wealth, your money will be working for you.
The Lorain County Urban League has been committed to empowering people, especially African-Americans and all disadvantaged people, to participate equally in the education, economic, and social mainstream since 1978. Participating in this program will teach you about sticking to a monthly to grow your wealth. In doing so, you will be able to reduce your stress because of being empowered to be a good money manager.
