NBPW/Tri-City Lupus Project

The Elyria Club of the Negro Business and Professional Women has their office here at the Lorain County Urban League. They provide health education and employment/economic development for minority girls and women and the community as a whole.

Tri City Lupus is one of the projects that they offer to the community. Nellie Caver, Project Director of the Tri-City Lupus Project is here on Monday, Wednesday and Friday to provide support information and education about Lupus to Lorain County Lupus patients and caregivers. They have three support groups which meet monthly as follows:

  • The Oberlin group meets at Mt. Zion Church located at 47 Locust Street in Oberlin meets on the 2nd Thursday at 7:00 P.M.
  • The Lorain group meets at Community Health Partners located at 3700 Kolbe Road in Lorain on the 3rd Thursday at 7:00 P.M.
  • Elyria group meets at the Elyria YWCA Residence located at 318 West Avenue, Elyria on the 4th Saturday at 1:00 P.M.
